What trips your nonsense alarm?

I treat ufology as a real academic field like History, and I consider ufo evidence (witness accounts, photos, videos) and published materials as primary and secondary sources. Very few things do I accept as whole truth or falsehood, rather I look for where they connect to other sources to build a narrative. Of course, not everything is useful and there is so much material out there I see no reason to spend time on stuff that is spurious in any way.

So, where do you draw the line? If I think that a source is more likely than not a product of acute mental illness, someone seeking cash/attention or pushing a social or political agenda, or just a hoax I just move on.
