I was test filming (4 minutes of 4K video) my brand new camera by recording a lightning storm that came through an hour or less earlier, over Brisbane from my veranda at home (West side of Brisbane).
I Didn’t pay any special attention to the object (assuming it WAS a commercial aircraft) until I played back the video on my computer monitor. I since zoomed in for a closer look.
It was first seen flying horizontally, then climbed fairly steeply in OPPOSITE direction of nearest airport. I ESTIMATE clouds were at least 80km (50 Miles) away, in the Moreton Bay (ocean) area at least, of the north side of the city centre.
It glowed brightly the entire time, which has made me think further, that if it was a ‘normal’ aircraft, it would have to be flying sideways for it’s forward facing lights to stay the constant brightness!
After 20 seconds, it flew out of frame, but curiously, when it came out of the cloud cover, my camera immediately, massively lost auto focus, which it had not done for the rest of the 4 minute video, before or after the object became visable to me.
Object appears near bottom right side of video.
(Video is as seen – Not zoomed in)
