1889 Gunslinger Dave Mather, Taken by Aliens?

Dodge City, Kansas

Boot Hill Museum, Dodge City, Kansas (Sept. 2017)

While visiting the Boot Hill Museum in Dodge City, Kansas, my wife Tammy brought my attention to one particular informational display. On the display located at the jail exhibit, a gunslinger named, “Mysterious Dave Mather” was associated with a very unique story. Dodge City is well known for famous gunslingers like, Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson, but it’s also known for a few gun fights too! One gunfight in particular was actually between two lawmen, Mysterious Dave Mather, and Tom Nixon, who had both been assistant marshals there.
(A little western history first.)

Gun fight at the Boot Hill Museum, Dodge City, Kansas.

June 1st, 1883, Mather was hired as an Assistant City Marshal, he served only 9 months and was replaced on April 10th, 1884 by Tom Nixon which sparked a feud between the two. The feud increased when a city ordinance was passed outlawing dance halls within the Dodge City limits, and was immediately enforced against Mather’s Opera House Saloon, but not against Nixon’s, Lady Gay Saloon. A fight broke out between the two men on July 18th, 1884, and Nixon shot Mather but only slightly wounding him. Three days later on July 21st, Mather and Nixon got into another confrontation, but this time Mather shot and killed Nixon. Mather claimed self-defense and was acquitted. Later that year Mather was involved in another confrontation, but this time after his bail was set, he skipped out of Dodge to New Kiowa, Kansas, and ultimately left there too!

Interesting western stories, but it’s what happened to Dave Mather later in life, that caught my “UFO” attention.

Wikipedia:
David Allen Mather (August 10, 1851 – unknown), also known by the nickname “Mysterious Dave”, was an American lawman and gunfighter in the Old West. His taciturn personality may have earned him the nickname “Mysterious Dave”. He served as a lawman in Dodge City, Kansas, and Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Jump to 1996 reports from numerous news sites:

(Exact date unknown) An elderly Mexican man named Jorge Hernandez, was on his deathbed and asked to speak to his Roman Catholic priest, Father Joel de Mola, in Nacozari de Garcia, Mexico. He claimed to have been present in September 1899 when American lawman, Mysterious Dave Mather vanished “mysteriously” in northern Mexico.

The story sorta goes like this:

In August 1889, ranchers in the Sierrita mountains, southwest of Tucson, began complaining about missing cattle. Dave Mather put together a posse and set out to track down what they assumed were rustlers. Included in the posse was 14-year-old Jorge Hernandez. Led by a tracker from the San Carlos reservation, the posse followed the trail into Mexico.

About 50 miles southwest of Nogales, in Mexico’s Sonora state, Jorge said, the posse spotted “a huge silver bowl in the sky.” The huge silver bowl ” flew ahead of the posse in spurts, staying about a half-mile ahead at all times.” Reaching a range of low hills, Mather suggested that they split up and “Try to find that damned airship again.”

Note: Airships or dirigible balloons, made their first flight on September 24th, 1852. Invented by Henri Giffard, out of France, they would have been well-known in the US by the late 1800s.

Soon young Jorge Hernandez, found himself riding down a lonely barranca. Suddenly, “A tiny man in silver-colored clothes confronted him with a hollow tube,” instantly Jorge’s horse reared and he was thrown to the ground. Yelling, he drew his .45 caliber Colt Single Action Army revolver and shot at the tiny man.

Jorge kept firing as fast as he could and all six bullets went straight towards the man, but “the little man flickered like a candle flame and disappeared.”

Jumping to his feet, Jorge ran as fast as he could out of the gorge. The other members of the posse quickly gathered, as he told them his story. They didn’t believe him at first, except for the tracker who showed fear in his eyes.

Mather then told the Posse,  he would go check out the barranca himself. He said he’d fire a shot if he ran into any trouble. Jorge and the rest of the posse waited. About an hour later, one man shouted and pointed towards the barranca. The silver bowl rose about 200 feet into the air and took off over the horizon, never to be seen again.

When the posse entered the barranca, they found Mather’s horse, highly agitated, but no sign of Dave. There was no evidence of any violence, and Mather’s Winchester was still snug in its leather boot. His canteen was half-full, and there was no blood on the saddle or the bedroll.

Their tracker backtracked the horse’s hoof-prints and found something very odd. The tracks coming into the gorge were slightly deeper than the ones made recently by the horse, as if Dave had suddenly dismounted. But there was no sign of Dave’s footprints or any sign that his body had hit the ground.

Without another word, the tracker climbed onto his own horse and rode back to San Carlos.

“What’s wrong?” Jorge asked him.

“Pueblo de cielo,” the tracker muttered. (Spanish for “Sky People”) He quickly rode away…

Jorge and the rest of the posse searched the area afterwards, but they never found Dave Mather.

In an interview on Mexican television in 1996, Father de Mola said, “The old man was on his deathbed when he related it to me. He was convinced that the spaceship had been sent from heaven by God.”

After some research I found an article from www.historynet.com called, “Mather to Nixon: ‘You Have Lived Long Enough’. This article was about the gun fight between Mather and Nixon stated earlier in this blog, but towards the end of the article I saw this:

One fantastical tidbit appeared in a 1963 issue of Frontier Times magazine, describing not Dave’s death but rather his abduction by aliens. The schlock tabloid Weekly World News later ran an “eye witness” story head lined UFO SHOCKER!

Did Aliens Kidnap Old West Lawman in 1889?

They might as well have. To date, no reliable records exist to account for Mather’s movements from the day he skipped bail and fled New Kiowa. Until and unless such records surface, the life and death of David Allen “Mysterious Dave” Mather—lawman, badman, gambler and killer of Tom Nixon—must remain, well…mysterious.

Note: Obviously one problem with this story is, the Weekly World News, which is famous for fabricated stories. It reported the Jorge Hernandez story on August 9th, 1994, but as stated by [history.net] the original story was published in a 1963 issue of Frontier Times, magazine. Frontier Times magazine had a reputation for writing articles largely from the vantage point of the eye-witness observer or actual participant in the event. Was their article based on a Jorge Hernandez testimony or someone else?

And if this story is true, was the missing cattle which alerted Dave to form a Posse, related to the craft? Was this an 1889 cattle mutilation incident and was Dave Mather ultimately abducted?

After numerous attempts, I’ve been unable (at this time) to locate the 1963 issue of Frontier Magazine to verify the article about Dave Mather’s alien abduction, or really solidify Jorge Hernandez’s story; but… historian and author Ron Soodalter, who writes for the Wild West Magazine and is a regular contributor to Weider History Group publications, appears to be a very reliable source.

As for Dave Mather? No actual records exist about where he finally ended up or about his death. Some say he died in Texas with a bullet to head, some say he ended up on the East Coast, and some say he ended up in Canada, but there is no real proof of any of those situations. What is proof at this time is, there’s no record of his death, just a story from an old man who claimed to be one of the last people in a Posse, to see Dave Mather alive.

August 21st, Not only the Eclipse, but a UFO Anniversary as Well

August 21st Eclipse, Colorado Springs

August 21st, 2017 was a great day for the USA, we put aside our personal politics, and came together for one awesome solar eclipse event. Here in Colorado, we experienced 90% totality, but our friends next door in Wyoming, got to see the “Big Show”. I experienced my eclipse event, using my older eight inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with an eight inch solar filter cap. It was 90 percent of totality awesome! But during the event, it reminded me about past solar and lunar events, where UFO’s were spotted. Some people believe these events spark UFO activity, but I believe it’s just because more people are looking towards the sky’s, and see something unusual. But August 21st, also reminded me of a very interesting UFO-related event that happened back on August 21st, 1955, where farmers came head to head with extraterrestrials.

The 37th Parallel: Kelly/Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Alien Encounter, August 1955.

It all started on August 21st, 1955 when five adults and seven children went to the Hopkinsville police station to report a close encounter with extraterrestrials which involved gun fire. They claimed earlier in the evening, small aliens, who had landed their spaceship nearby the farm-house, were trying to get inside their home. For nearly four hours, two of the adults, Elmer Sutton and Bill Ray Taylor, stated they had been shooting at twelve to fifteen short dark creatures, trying to keep them away from their home.

Four city police, five state troopers, three deputy sheriffs, and four military police from nearby US Army Fort Campbell, drove to the Sutton farmhouse located near the town of Kelly, in Christian County, Kentucky to investigate. They found no evidence of extraterrestrials, but did find evidence a fire fight took place.

Wikipedia:

Residents of the farmhouse included Glennie Lankford, her children, Lonnie, Charlton, and Mary, two sons from a previous marriage, Elmer “Lucky” Sutton, John Charley “J.C.” Sutton, and their respective wives, Vera and Alene, Alene’s brother O.P. Baker, and Billy Ray Taylor and his wife June. Both the Taylors, “Lucky” and Vera Sutton were reportedly itinerant carnival workers that were visiting the farmhouse. The next day, neighbors told two officers that the families had “packed up and left” after claiming “the creatures had returned about 3:30 in the morning”.

The Encounter:

Billy Ray Taylor and his wife were visiting the Sutton farm that night, when Billy left the house to gather water from the Sutton family well. While getting the water, he watched a bright shining object land about a quarter of a mile from the farmhouse. Frightened, he ran back to the house explaining what he saw, but no one believed him at that time.

Shortly thereafter, strange things started happening. The family dog began to bark as if there was an intruder nearby, Lucky Sutton and Billy Ray went outside the farmhouse to investigate. They were both frightened when they saw a three to four-foot creature walking towards them with its hands up. They said the creature had large eyes, thin build, a long thin mouth, short legs, large ears and had claws at the end of its fingers. In fear, Billy Ray fired his .22 caliber rifle, and Lucky fired his shotgun towards the creature. The bullets had no effect on it, making a pinging sound as if it was wearing some type of metallic armor. The creature then fell backwards and headed back into the woods.

Kelly/Hopkinsville alien

Lucky and Billy Ray, ran back to the farmhouse fearing for their lives. No sooner had the two men reentered the home, that another creature appeared at the window. They shot at it, leaving a gun shot hole through the screen. They ran back outside to see if the creature was dead, but found no trace of it. Standing at the front of the house, the men were terrified when a clawed hand reached down from the roof trying to touch them. Again they shot at it, but the creature just slowly floated down to the ground, then took off towards the woods.

The two men ran back into the farmhouse, where they and their family appeared to be under siege. The creatures would periodically peer into the windows, surrounding the house. After several hours of taking pot shots and in fear for their lives, the family decided to make a break for it, scrambled to two vehicles, and headed for the police department.

After the police had visited the farmhouse and finding no evidence of the creatures, they left the area about 2:15am. As soon as they did, the creatures returned and began peering into the windows. More gun fire took place, but with no effect. Several more hours of intense confrontation took place, and finally just before daybreak, the creatures left.

On 08/22/55, the Kentucky “New Era” newspaper ran the story of the event, but several readers thought it to be a hoax.

Obviously something took place on that farm back in 1955. The Sutton family never made any money from the story and didn’t seek any publicity. All of them were questioned periodically and described the creatures and the events correctly. As the years passed, their story never changed or was exaggerated.

One note I need to make: While reading about this particular event throughout the years, at no time did I ever read the aliens tried to harm the occupants. They never used any type of weapon, while being shot at, and never tried to commit bodily harm to any family member. They appeared to be more curious than deadly. We the humans, appeared to be the aggressor. But in defense for the Sutton family, this was a very unusual, out of the ordinary, scary event. With all the space alien and UFO type movies in the theaters at that time, from “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, to “It Came from Outer Space”, and of course “War of the Worlds”, no wonder a farmer would fear for his and his family’s lives, and shoot first then ask questions later.

Movies can be positive for disclosure like with ET, and this year’s 40th anniversary, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but also equally negative, like with Aliens, and Predator.

Today, the 1955 event is celebrated with the “Kelly Little Green Men Days Festival” August, in Kelly, Kentucky. The annual Kelly Little Green Men Days Festival is 4 days of music, games, food, set in a family friendly environment. Similar to the other events like the Roswell Festival in July; Kelly, Kentucky doesn’t shy away from the 1955 event, but embraces it with a festival. Since 1955, sightings still occur of these Gremlin-like creatures, as recently as 2016, so this story is never going away.

Roswell Crash Still Offering New Hints 70 Years on;

2017 Roswell Incident Lecture

” The following segment is from Roswell New Mexico’s, Roswell Daily Record newspaper article pertaining to mine and my sister’s lecture at the 2017 Roswell Incident Lecture.”

Some may believe, since the Roswell crash occurred 70 years ago, that there is nothing left to uncover. But for Chuck Zukowski and Debbie Ziegelmeyer, they are still investigating the infamous Roswell incident.

Zukowski and Ziegelmeyer, siblings and field investigators, kicked off the second day of the Daily Record event, “The Roswell Incident,” Saturday with their presentation “A Behind the Scenes Investigation of the Roswell Incident.”

In their presentation, Zukowski and Ziegelmeyer recalled their various investigations on the Roswell crash spanning over a decade, as well as interviews with key eyewitnesses, including Mac Brazel’s granddaughter and Jesse Marcel Jr.
In the early 2000’s, the dynamic duo participated in archeological dig sites in an attempt to discover new evidence on the crash.

A piece of evidence they found, for example, was a horse bridle artifact. Zukowski added military officials would have gone to the crash site on horseback.
They also found a piece of metal that, they said, was not native to the Roswell area, but can still be found on Earth.

Zukowski has been involved with different categories of research and field investigations since the early ’80s, including UFOs, alien sightings, ghost investigations, Bigfoot and animal mutilations. He was featured in “The 37th Parallel,” a New York Times best-selling book written by Ben Mezrich. The book, which was released on Sept. 6, 2016, has been optioned for a movie. It is rumored that Robert Downey Jr. is interested in portraying Zukowski.

Ziegelmeyer was also featured in “The 37th Parallel.” She has many titles, including the Missouri Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) State Director, Director of the MUFON Dive Team, MUFON Star Team Investigator and MUFON Business Board of Directors. She has investigated over 1,000 UFO sighting reports, including over 700 MUFON cases and became a 1947 Roswell crash investigator in 2001.

Last year, while Zukowski and Ziegelmeyer visited Roswell while running a follow-up investigation, they both had a personal experience with a possible UFO.

On July 3, 2016, they drove in Zukowski’s truck to stargaze outside of Roswell. Zukowski saw a single bright flash of light in the sky. Thinking the flash was a meteorite, he ignored the flash and decided to show his sister his new front light bar he installed on his truck, which was activated by a remote control.
He turned on the strobe setting for the lights and, to their left in the clear sky, two very bright flashes of light appeared.

Shocked, he turned on the strobe lights again and the flashes of light soon followed. They did this numerous times and the flashes followed.
They could not think of a plausible explanation for the lights, as the sky was completely clear and they couldn’t see anything in the sky besides the stars and the Milky Way.

It’s UFO! (not UAP)

On March 24th of 2016 while campaigning for the presidency of the United States, Hillary Clinton was on the Jimmy Kimmel show talking about the UFO phenomenon. She told Jimmy the term isn’t called UFO anymore, but the latest nomenclature is, Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon or UAP. Like Jimmy, I also prefer the term UFO, for Unidentified Flying Object, because it’s more traditional. But on my website, I changed the acronym to, “Unconventional Flying Objects” reflecting the book, “Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis”, written by a respected NASA scientist, Paul Hill (1995).

(Excerpt from Amazon Books)

Paul Hill was a well-respected NASA scientist when, in the early 1950s, he had a UFO sighting. Soon after, he built the first flying platform and was able to duplicate the UFO’s tilt-to-control maneuvers. Official policy, however, prevented him from proclaiming his findings. “I was destined,” says Hill, “to remain as unidentified as the flying objects.”

For the next twenty-five years, Hill acted as an unofficial clearing house at NASA, collecting and analyzing sightings’ reports for physical properties, propulsion possibilities, dynamics, etc. To refute claims that UFOs defy the laws of physics, he had to make “technological sense … of the unconventional object.”

After his retirement from NASA, Hill finally completed his remarkable analysis. In Unconventional Flying Objects, published posthumously, he presents his findings that UFOs “obey, not defy, the laws of physics.” Vindicating his own sighting and thousands of others, he proves that UFO technology is not only explainable, but attainable.

The term UFO or “Unidentified Flying Object” goes back to the early 1950’s in which US aviator Donald Keyhoe had referenced the term in his book. The term, “Flying Saucers” derived from the June 24th, 1947 Kenneth Arnold citing, in which he had seen multiple objects fly past Mount Rainier, Washington State. Arnold described the objects shaped as “flat like a pie pan”, “shaped like a pie plate”, “half-moon shaped, oval in front and convex in the rear”, “something like a pie plate that was cut in half with a sort of convex triangle in the rear, or simply “saucer-like or “, “like a big flat disk”.  From these multiple descriptions, the press compressed the term down to, “Flying Saucers”.

The term UAP was actually derived from a 400 page document titled, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” created from Project Condign, a secret UFO study undertaken by the British Government Defense Intelligence Staff (DIS) between 1997 and 2000. The project was released into the public on May 15th, 2006 after a September 2005 Freedom of Information Act was requested by UFO researchers, Dr David Clarke and Gary Anthony.

NARCAP, or the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the studying UAP’s and aviation safety for the public. Their website was down at the time of the writing of this blog, and their Facebook page hadn’t been updated since November 27th of 2016, so I’m going by memory. One of the things they boasted was, this website was the place where airline pilots could report a UAP sighting. I believe they re-adjusted the Project Condign report name from, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” to their name, “Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon”.

The general thought was, airline pilots, especially commercial airline pilots, had no place they could officially report a UFO sighting, so NARCAP was one place they could report it. But… in the book, “The 37th Parallel”, written by Ben Mezrich about my personal life pertaining to Ufology, Ben found an actual FAA handbook showing there was a place where airline pilots, especially commercial ones, could report a UFO sighting without dire circumstances.

So who do they report sightings to? A government agency? Maybe the FAA themselves? No… The manual clearly states to report the sightings to BAAS, a division of Bigelow Aerospace Company, a private company.

Excerpt from the book, “The 37th Parallel”.

What would conspiracy theorists and the general public think if they realized that, right in the FAA handbook, there was a section on what a pilot was supposed to do when he encountered a UFO? Even more astonishing, the pilot was ordered to report the sighting, not to a government agency, but to Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies, a sister company to Bigelow Aerospace…

The section describing this is [ 4-4-4, Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) Reports].

For more information on this, see Chapter 22, from the book “The 37th Parallel”, Atria Books/Simon & Schuster, released September 6th, 2016.

Now jump forward to May 28th, 2017, on CBS News 60 Minutes show, Lara Logan interviewed Robert Bigelow founder of Bigelow Aerospace, in which he admits on TV, the UFO phenomenon is real!

(Excerpts from the 60 minutes show, courtesy CBS News)

Lara Logan: Do you believe in aliens?

Robert Bigelow: I’m absolutely convinced. That’s all there is to it.

Lara Logan: Do you also believe that UFOs have come to Earth?

Robert Bigelow: There has been and is an existing presence, an ET presence. And I spent millions and millions and millions — I probably spent more as an individual than anybody else in the United States has ever spent on this subject.

Lara Logan: Is it risky for you to say in public that you believe in UFOs and aliens?

Robert Bigelow: I don’t give a damn. I don’t care.

Lara Logan: You don’t worry that some people will say, “Did you hear that guy, he sounds like he’s crazy”?

Robert Bigelow: I don’t care.

Also in the 60 Minutes news show, this is stated:

The FAA confirmed to us that for years, it referred reports of UFOs and other unexplained phenomena to a company Bigelow owns. He told us he’s had his own close encounters, but declined to go into detail.

So there you have it, not only can pilots report unusual sightings through official FAA guidelines, but the guidelines still referred the objects as, “UFOs”, not “UAPs”!  Not only that, but Ben Mezrich’s book, “The 37th Parallel” released information about the FAA reporting guidelines pertaining to UFO sightings, 6 months before the CBS News 60 Minutes TV show went public with it. I wonder if they had read the book?

So let’s drop the UAP term and use the term the FAA and Bigelow Aerospace still use today, UFO; Because any other term would be… just wrong.

Roswell, It Happens Here!

The Roswell Daily Record Newspaper ran the following article I wrote to help promote the “2017 Roswell Daily Record’s Roswell Incident” festival June 30th, thru July 2nd. My sister Debbie Ziegelmeyer and I will be speaking Saturday, July 1st at 9:00am, kicking off a great day of speakers.

Roswell Daily Record Article Link

(Article)
The July 1947 event just outside of Roswell is probably the most important UFO related event in American history. First, very unusual looking debris was found near Corona, and then the military was informed, and then there was a press release, and then a retraction. If it was today, the retraction would have said, “Our bad, what our experts at Walker Army Air Field thought was a UFO, was just a dumb old weather balloon.” Talk about “Fake News! Actually it wasn’t the press that “Faked” the news, it was our military. Once they realized what they had in their possession, including the small bodies they found, it’s been 70 years of denial from them. Well, there’s no denying what the rancher saw, and there’s no denying what Jesse Marcel Jr. saw, and there’s no denying there’s a lot more to Roswell than what happened in 1947.

I’m a UFO/Paranormal Field Investigator, and I’ve been researching and investigating the 1947 Roswell incident for over 30 years. When my children were quite young, my wife Tammy and I would pile them into our motor home, and go on vacation. No matter where we went, I always figured out a route which included Roswell as one of the stops. Back in the day, there were three UFO related museums in Roswell I used to visit. I talked to people and researched material, while my wife and children waited patiently in the RV watching TV. Sometimes we would camp near Roswell, and other times I would have a four to six hour window, then it was back in the RV, driving to our next destination. Sure it was a lot of work, but it paid off, I got to meet Glenn Dennis and Walter Haut. I spent time with them listening and learning about what happened back in ’47. Then in the late 1990’s, my sister Debbie Ziegelmeyer, who is a UFO Field Investigator out of Missouri, joined my obsession with Roswell to combine forces to step-up the investigation. Tag-teaming at the International UFO Museum and Research Center, we acquired GPS coordinates to the debris site from Glenn Dennis. Now we were cooking!

With combined forces, Debbie and I started investigating the debris site. Well one thing led to another, and we landed an opportunity to do a sanctioned archeology dig in 2002 for the Syfy Channel’s documentary, “The Roswell Crash: Startling New Evidence” hosted by Bryant Gumble. Then in 2006 we were asked back again by Syfy to do another dig, this time for their show, “Syfy Investigates: The Roswell Incident.” All pretty exciting except for one thing, we found something back in 2002 on the first dig. A little triangular piece of metal reminiscent to what Jesse Marcel Jr. saw back in 1947. Here’s how we found it.

Back in the 2002 dig, it was mine and my sister’s opinion, that we were wasting way-too-much time, and digging way- too-deep, looking for artifacts from 1947. Out in the summer desert for five days, and digging holes over 100 centimeters, or 3 feet deep, volunteers started leaving. At one time, they started to revolt against the people in charge, and one of them I had to tackle before he yanked one of the head honchos out of the camera helicopter. By the way, I never got a thank you from that head honcho. Yeah I’m not revealing any names because that’s not important, what’s important was what happened afterwards. Debbie and I convinced the lead archeologist, my good friend now, Dr. Bill Doleman, to let us run our own dig for a day. It was that last dig that found the little triangular piece. We dug 1 by 3 meter strip digs only digging 8 to 10 centimeters in depth, in an area where erosion could have moved material over the years since 1947.

Debbie and I will talk about that little artifact along with what we learned at this year’s, “Roswell Daily Record’s, Roswell Incident” festival. But wait there’s more! In 2007 while lecturing at the Roswell Civic Center we were approached by Roswell resident, Robert Ridge. He showed us a very unusual rock with a crop circle design on it, which he found just outside the city. We took it upon ourselves to spend a year trying to find the origins of this rock, and debunk its very existence. With no luck debunking the rock and realizing Robert had a very significant artifact in his possession, in 2008 right in Roswell’s Civic Center, we ran a press release, christening the rock, “The Roswell Rock”. But wait, there’s even more.

Just last year in 2016, my sister and I were lecturing for the Roswell Cosmicon, and on July 3rd, late Sunday night, we decided to drive out to the area where the Roswell Rock was found. It was at that location we had our own UFO experience, and we’ll share what we saw and what we learned at our lecture in July.

So if you think the only unusual event in Roswell happened in 1947, then you’re sadly mistaken, because Roswell is still a hot spot and is being watched. The 100 dollar question is; who’s watching and why? C-ya at Roswell!

President Trump and UFO Disclosure

The US is currently in disarray over our current President and it’s understandable. Former US First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, was a shoe-in for the presidential spot, or at least that’s what the media wanted the world to know, but they were wrong. Just like they’ve been wrong about UFO sightings being reported occurring across the US, their Achilles heel was and still is, not tuning into Rural America. Completely oblivious to farmers, ranchers, and small city life, the media was focusing more on Urban culture, rather than Rural, when they were polling.

Urban Culture compared to Rural Culture also effects how the types of UFOs are reported.

Urban culture: (Wikipeida) The defining theme is the presence of a great number of very different people in a very limited space – most of them are strangers to each other. This makes it possible to build up a vast array of subcultures close to each other, exposed to each other’s influence, but without necessarily intruding into people’s private lives.

Rural culture: The Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services defines the word “rural” as encompassing “…all population, housing, and territory not included within an urban area. Whatever is not urban is considered rural. Webster defines it as; of or relating to the country, country people or life, or agriculture. (Rural America communicates more with each other, than Urban America does.)

Ok, so how did Rural America affect the election?

The Electoral College:

The founding fathers established it in the Constitution as a compromise between election of the President by a vote in Congress and election of the President by a popular vote of qualified citizens. The process consists of the meeting of the electors where they vote for President and Vice President, and the counting of the electoral votes by Congress.

The Electoral College consists of 538 electors. A majority of 270 electoral votes is required to elect the President. State’s entitled allotment of electors equals the number of members in its Congressional delegation: one for each member in the House of Representatives plus two for Senators.

Generally the electors vote in favor for their party, but some states don’t require that by law, so some electors may vote for the other party. We call those people, “Traitors”. Ha ha.. actually they’re called, “Faithless Electors”.

Now the winner of the national popular vote typically takes the presidency with its included electoral votes, but there have been now, five cases which this did not happen. The last case prior to President Trump, was President Bush winning the electoral and not the popular vote.

Why does this system seem to work for us here in the good-ole USA?

Well as I see it, by putting checks and balances within our 50 states by giving states with lower populations a fighting chance for the presidential candidate. (Example)

11 states with the highest population.(est.)

1. California -> 38,332,521
2. Texas -> 26,448,193
3. New York -> 19,651,127
4. Florida -> 19,552,860
5. Illinois -> 12,882,135
6. Pennsylvania -> 12,773,801
7. Ohio -> 11,570,808
8. Georgia -> 9,992,167
9. Michigan -> 9,895,622
10. North Carolina -> 9,848,060
11. New Jersey -> 8,899,339

Total State Population -> 179,846,633

The US population in 2016 according to the US Census Bureau = 322,762,018

322,762,018 divided by 2 =  161,381,009

Hypothetically just 11 states out of 50 could control the presidential election if it was only popular vote! Of course there are variables like, how many people in these numbers are registered to vote, but basically, 25% of the US states could control the other 75%. And who would be in control? Yep, the Urbanites, leaving Rural America out in the cold.

2016 Election Results

Trump -> Electoral votes = 304 -> States carried = 30
-> Popular vote = 62,985,105 -> 45.9%
Hillary -> Electoral votes = 227 -> States carried = 20
-> Popular vote = 65,853,625 -> 48.0%

So even though Hillary won by 2.1% or 2,868,529 popular votes, Trump won by carrying 10 more states and 77 more Electoral votes. Also Trump lost 2 electoral votes to Faithless Electors, while Hillary lost 4 electoral votes to Faithless Electors. This is how our current election process works, some will disagree with it, some will agree, but it’s the best process we have at this time.

This past election Rural America’s voices were heard, which could help Ufology. Voting in a president that is hard-wired to Rural America could help with Disclosure. Why?  Well there are a lot of reasons. Really good sightings seem to occur in low light pollution areas, from Unconventional Flying craft to balls of light seen, from animal mutilations occurring, to really good events like; Roswell, Aztec, Cape Girardeau, Joplin Spook Lights, Marfa Lights, and the list goes on.

Rural America also seems to carry more of a burden when UFOs are involved.

Main-stream media makes fun of them when they report UFO sightings.
They get little help from the authorities when they report UFO sightings.
They’re tired of losing cattle to Animal Mutilations, millions of dollars lost since 1967!
Families are scared, because what they have experienced, they can’t be explain.
And it seems a lot a people just don’t care about the topic, because it doesn’t personally affect them.

So, it’s my opinion that UFO Disclosure may be closer with President Trump, than with Former Secretary of State, Clinton. Why? Well if she was really eager to release information, then why didn’t she do it while being a 2 term First Lady, or when she was Secretary of State, a very powerful position! Plenty of opportunities she didn’t take advantage of. But, a newly elected president that is hard-wired with Rural America, well that might be the nudge we need for Disclosure.

So what can we do? How about sending a letter to the President, informing him about what’s really happening in our back yards. That would be a good start, so that’s what I did.

Letter to Trump

Letter to President Trump

I wrote a nice letter to President Trump and included a signed copy (yea I signed it, ha ha) of the book, “The 37th Parallel”. In the letter I touched on a couple of subjects, but offered my assistance in the field of UFOlogy. Will he read the letter? Probably not, but maybe someone on his staff will, and maybe someone on his staff will read the book, and maybe the acronym UFO may pop up in the future within his staff, and someone will say, “Hey I know of this guy who may be able to answer that question!” Ok, a lot of maybe(s), but I would like to think the percentage of him reading my letter may be better than the percentage of me winning the lottery, and I do buy tickets now and then.

So it doesn’t matter who voted for who, or how the current president got into office, what matters is everyone working together to achieve positive goals for this country, one being in my opinion, UFO Disclosure. So let’s all agree on that one.

Probability of Life Outside this Planet

NASA-galaxy

Hubble observing a tiny patch of sky seeing approximately 10,000 galaxies.

Life Outside Planet Earth:
“Based on what we think the odds are for life starting on this planet, and based on what we know about the abundance of galaxies in outer space, the probability of life existing outside this planet is greater than the probability of life existing on this planet.” [Chuck Zukowski]

In 1961 Frank Drake an astronomer and UFO enthusiast, developed a comprehensive equation called “The Drake Equation” to determine the probability life could exist outside this planet. His equation consisted of the following:

  • R*: How fast stars form in our galaxy.
  • fp: The percentage of stars that have planets.
  • ne: The number of earthlike planets around each star that has planets.
  • fl: The percentage of earthlike planets that develop life.
  • fi: The percentage of planets with life that develop intelligent life.
  • fc: The percentage of intelligent species that go on to create technology that could be detected by an outside civilization like ours. One example of this is radio signals.
  • L: The average number of years the advanced civilizations release detectable signals.

Today using what information we know about our current galaxy the Milky Way, Drake’s Equation gives us about 140,000 species like us living in our galaxy alone! In a 2014 article from Space.com, Mario Livio an astrophysicist at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore stated there are 100 billion galaxies that we know of, and with better telescopes, we’ll probably see 100 billion more.

Out of all the galaxies, our galaxy is the most typical with hundreds of billions of stars, and enough dust particles and gas to make billions more. Two-thirds of the known galaxies like our Milky Way galaxy have a spiral shape, other galaxies have elliptical shapes and some have a multitude of unusual shapes, but the spiral shape is the most common.

The most common galaxy could harbor over 140,000 species.

If the most common is at least 51% out of all known galaxies, then 51 billion galaxies out of the 100 billion that we know of, could each harbor at least 100,400 species based on the Drake Equation. Even if they don’t and may only harbor 1% life, then we’re still looking at 1000 species multiplied by 51 billion galaxies or 1 Trillion similar species living in galaxies that we are aware of.

Space Travel:
Wikipedia: A wormhole or Einstein-Rosen Bridge is a hypothetical topological feature that would fundamentally be a shortcut connecting two separate points in space-time. A wormhole, in theory, might be able to connect extremely far distances such as a billion light years or more, short distances such as a few feet, different universes, and different points in time. A wormhole is much like a tunnel with two ends, each at separate points in space-time.

Science says it’s highly unlikely, yet possible to use a wormhole for travel, but as we get smarter and science matures, we may find a way. Scientist James Flynn, PhD, of the University of Otago in New Zealand had discovered that over the past 100 years, Americans’ average IQ has been on a steady climb. Between 1900 and 2012, American’s IQ have rose nearly 30 points, which means the average person back in 2012 had a higher IQ than 95 percent of the population in 1900.

Today technology like laptops, cell phones, and other advanced electronics will most likely boost our IQ even quicker, which will get us that much closer to understanding the use of Wormholes for travel, or folding space or other forms of travel.

The speed of light:
For the past few decades and even today, some scientists are allowing themselves to be bound to the “Speed of Light’ rule at 186,000 miles per second for space travel. Everything currently on this planet that pertains to travel uses the thought process that, “To go from point A to point B, it will take you X amount of time traveling at Y speed”. That’s OK for Earth travel, but what about space travel?

The “Speed of Light” measures distance, but the “Light Year” measures both time and distance. The “Light Year” measures the distance light can travel in one Earth year. The closest star system to Earth is Alpha Centauri which is 4.22 light years away. If you remember the TV show, “Lost in Space”, the Robinson Family mission was to establish a colony on a planet orbiting one of the stars in the Alpha Centauri system until Dr. Smith screwed things up. (But that’s another story.)

This year NASA reported after working off fours years’ worth of data from the Kepler space telescope, researchers from NASA, the SETI Institute and several universities, announced the findings of a new exoplanet along with 12 possible habitable other exoplanets and 500 new candidates. The new planet, named Kepler 452b is the closest twin to Earth found yet nicknamed, “Earth 2.0”. About 1,400 light years away, it lies in a habitable zone the same distance to its sun as we are to ours. It’s sun compared to ours is 1.5 billion years older, which means this planet has been around a lot longer that ours. So if humans have been on this planet for about 200,000 years and within the last century we’ve been able to increase our IQs by 30 points, then what about Earth 2.0 that’s been around longer? If intelligent life exists there, what’s their IQ now?

Remember their intelligent life wouldn’t have gone through the same social evolutionary process as ours. Instead of focusing on chastising those in the past with new and wonderful ideas like we did, they may have embraced those like Copernicus or Da Vinci and given them the support needed to expand on their ideas. And instead of investing so much energy and resources on war-like projects for battle, they could have focused their energy on research and exploration. Where would we be now if we did that back in the 1600s?

Intelligent life exists outside this planet there’s no denying that, the question is, “Could they be visiting us?” High technology crafts have been seen throughout history and are still being seen today flying around while defying modern physics as we know it. Who and what are they and where are they coming from? Some researchers/investigators say from other planets, some say from our future, some say its military top secret technology, but our Native Americans say different, they say Star Travelers have been seen for centuries.

Now the Speed of Light may be our constant, but speed may not be the only form of travel. Wormhole Travel, or some-type of “Star Gate” apparatuses may exist that solves the distances issue, and it will only take time until our species matures enough to understand it. Remember compared to the dinosaurs who lived on this planet for at least 135 million years, we are the adolescents with only 200,000 years and still in the learning phase. If other planet’s human-like creatures got a jump on us, then they could be at the point of technology where they can see long distances and travel from star system to star system. It’s not voodoo, its just science.

So the next time you look through a telescope at the stars, stop for a moment and think, is there someone looking back at me, and if so, are they looking at me from their planet, or from their space ship?

Falcon Herald (newspaper): UFO and Livestock Mutilation Rumors Alive

The following article is from “The New Falcon Herald” newspaper; Falcon, Colorado written by Jason Gray after we spoke. Thank you Jason!

September edition, 2015. [volume #13, issue #9]:

An August 2010 livestock mutilation incident in eastern El Paso County, investigated by Chuck Zukowski and the UFONut team of Colorado Springs, prompted attention from the UFO and paranormal investigation community. Three horses and a dog were involved in an attack of mysterious origin in the 2010 incident. Zukowski’s investigation led to his termination as a volunteer El Paso County Sheriff reserve deputy because of the publicity he received.

A book and movie deal with New Line Cinema, inspired by the Rush livestock mutilations, the sheriff department’s reaction and Zukowski’s work nationwide, was announced in July.

According to the National UFO Reporting Center, at least 10 credible UFO sightings east of Falcon have been reported to law enforcement or their database in the past two years. There is a history of animal mutilations in Rush and elsewhere on the east end of the county going back to 1967, Zukowski said.

The 2010 Rush horse and dog mutilation case that drew national attention focused on the Utopia Ranch. “There were a couple horses involved that were killed, and a couple surviving animals,” Zukowski said. “Cody, the dog, and another horse experienced the mutilation and had marks on their noses and legs. The dog was still electrically charged when I got there to do the investigation.”

The military is also a suspect in these cases, at least in the eyes of long time residents, Zukowski said. “Some of the people absolutely believe it was military,” Zukowski said. “One gentleman said he saw a helicopter drop an animal. Are they mimicking it? Are they responsible for it? Are they doing their own investigation?”

Unexplained phenomena draw Zukowski and other UFO investigators to the eastern plains. “When I first moved to Colorado Springs in 1998, one of the first things I heard about was the Rush mutilations, crop circles and black triangles,” he said. “I would hang out on new moon nights and see if I could see something. I never did, but it was shortly thereafter I started getting reports out of San Luis Valley about mutilations.”

Other mysterious events follow the reports. The ranchers at Utopia Ranch and other landowners report unmarked helicopters sweeping the area at night soon after these incidents are reported. “As an investigator, I think of these unmarked helicopters coming after the fact like they’re doing their own investigations,” Zukowski said. “My opinion is they’re doing follow ups with things like full spectrum cameras, or bouncing sound and light waves off the ground to investigate after the fact.”

Events like the Rush-area mutilations throughout the decades are the most important animal cruelty cold case in America, Zukowski said. “They all have the same earmarks: lack of blood anywhere around it, no stains on the hide, precise incisions with no cauterization, and no hemorrhaging so we know the animals were dead before the cuts,” Zukowski said. He took some of the carcasses from incidents to veterinary labs, where veterinarians told him they had never seen those kinds of wounds from coyote or other predator attacks. He also has taken soil samples from the impressions near the area and surrounding fields where the animals have been found. The soluble nutrient levels are almost always significantly different between the depressions and the undisturbed soil, he said.

“The confusion has always been if it’s a natural predator or is it human as in cult or as in military, or something else,” Zukowski said. “The problem with both of those obvious options is we don’t get evidence of either one. People make mistakes; we’d see evidence of them eventually. If Seal Team 6, the best of the best, can leave evidence and crash a stealth helicopter while getting Bin Laden, why don’t people make mistakes and leave evidence at these sites?”

The book on these cases by bestselling author Ben Mezrich is expected to be released in the summer of 2016. The film adaptation by the Flynn Picture Co. division of New Line Cinema is in development.

Underwater ‘Stonehenge’ Monolith Found Off the Coast of Sicily, sits on the 37th Parallel !

I get asked all the time if I know of  important locations outside the USA which fall on the 37th latitude or the Paranormal Highway (aka 37th Parallel). So I’ve promised if I hear of anything, I would update the website readers. Besides Athens, Greece and the Gobekli Tepe temple in Turkey resting on the 37th Parallel, this unusual Stonehenge-type monolith popped up in recent news which also lies on the Parallel. Found 24 miles north of the volcanic island of Pantelleria it was submerged during a massive flood close to 10,000 years ago.

Archaeologists have discovered a mysterious Stonehenge-style monolith in the deep sea off the coast of Sicily, shedding new light on the earliest civilizations in the Mediterranean basin.

Broken in two parts, the 3.2-foot-long monolith has a rather regular shape and features three holes of similar diameter. One, which can be found at its end, crosses it completely from part to part, the others appear at two sides of the massive stone.

Such features leave no doubt that the monolith was man-made some 10,000 years ago.

“There are no reasonable known natural processes that may produce these elements,” Zvi Ben-Avraham, from the Department of Earth Sciences at Tel Aviv University, and Emanuele Lodolo, from the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics in Trieste, Italy, wrote in the Journal of Archaeological Science.

The monolith was found at a depth of 131 feet, on what was once an island in the Sicilian Channel. Called Pantelleria Vecchia Bank, the island was located some 24 miles north of the volcanic island of Pantelleria and was submerged during a massive flood about 9,500 years ago.

Indeed, the entire geography of the Mediterranean Basin was radically altered by the increase in sea level following the Last Glacial Maximum.

“The Sicilian Channel is one of the shallow shelves of the central Mediterranean region where the consequences of changing sea-level were most dramatic and intense,” the researchers wrote.

During the Last Glacial Maximum, the Adventure Plateau — the shallowest, north-western sector of the Sicilian Channel — was connected to Sicily, forming a broad peninsula that was separated from the North African coastline by about 30 miles.

“The gradual increase of the sea level caused the flooding of most of the peninsula, with the exception of some morphological highs that, until at least the Early Holocene, formed an archipelago of several islands separated by stretches of extremely shallow sea,” the researchers said.

One of those islands was the Pantelleria Vecchia Bank, where the massive monolith was found and where an ancient civilization thrived. These ancient people possibly colonized and settled the various islands of the archipelago, attracted by a suitable climate and a geographical position between Europe and Africa.

Everything ended about 9,500 years ago, when, according to the post-glacial curve of sea-level change for the Italian coasts, seawater submerged Pantelleria Vecchia Bank.

“This discovery reveals the technological innovation and development achieved by the Mesolithic inhabitants in the Sicilian Channel region,” Lodolo told Discovery News.

He noted that the monolith, which weights about 15 tons, was made of a single, large block that required cutting, extraction, transportation and installation.

“Such an effort undoubtedly reveals important technical skills and great engineering,” Lodolo said.

It is not known what the monolith’s fuction was or whether it was part of a large complex.

“Most likely the structure was functional to the settlement. These people were used to fishing and trading with the neighboring islands,” Lodolo said.

“It could have been some sort of a lighthouse or an anchoring system, for example,” he added.

The most famous archaeological discovery of Mesolithic age is the monumental temple complex of Göbekli Tepe, in south-eastern Turkey. Excavated by a German team in the 1960s, the site has been dated to about 11,600 years ago and is believed to have been a religious center or sanctuary serving a well-organized settlement.

“Almost everything that we do know about prehistoric cultures derives from settlements that are now on land. On the contrary, an extensive archaeological record of early settlings lies on the sea-floor of our continental shelves,” Lodolo said.

“If we want to trace the origins of civilization in the Mediterranean region, we must focus on the now-submerged shelf areas,” he added.

Thank you Discovery News…
