Closest Supermoon of the Century / Tidal Waves and Major Earthquakes Watch

The Full Supermoon on November 14, 2016 will be an extraordinary sight! A rare, once-in-a-lifetime Sky Event.

This Supermoon will have a dramatic effect on the tides and, for many people, November’s Full Moon will be the largest and brightest Full Moon of a lifetime.

The supermoon (perigee full moon) on November 14, 2016, will bring the moon closer to Earth than it has been since January 26, 1948.

What’s more, the moon won’t come this close to Earth again until November 25, 2034. That makes the November 2016 full moon the closest and largest supermoon in a period of 86 years!

The moon will turn full at 8:52 a.m. EST (1352 GMT), just 2.4 hours after it comes within just 221,541 miles (356,536 km) of the planet. (The moon’s average distance from Earth in its elliptical orbit is 238,900 miles, or 384,470 km.)

Expect a large range in ocean tides (exceptionally low to exceptionally high) for the next few days.

Major Earthquakes May Be Triggered By The Moon Say Japanese Researchers.

A new study has argued that major earthquakes, such as those that devastated Indonesian in 2004, Chile in 2010 and Japan in 2011, are more likely to occur during full and new moons – the two occasions during each month when tidal stresses are highest.

Researchers found “that there is strong correlation between tidal stress fluctuation and earthquake occurrence in several regions close to the epicenter of the Tohoku earthquake”.

The study, published in the journal ‘Nature Geoscience’ and conducted by a team from the University of Tokyo, argues that the same gravitational influence that the moon has on the oceans may also trigger earthquakes along Earth’s most fragile fault lines.

The research team calculated the levels of ‘tidal stress’ before major earthquakes of the last few decades and found that high levels of stress were often followed by major quakes.

UFOs ‘Roamed at Will’ on the Night of the Supermoon

UFOs 'Roamed at Will' on the Night of the Supermoon 9-27-15

Last week’s astronomical event known as the “blood moon” created a sensation on social media, with thousands of related photos and messages. It is a relatively frequent phenomenon, occurring every 15, 16, 17 or 18 years. The last supermoon occurred on the 27th of September of 2015, making it 14% larger than it is usually seen, and also coinciding with a full lunar eclipse. The next event will occur in the year 2028 or 2029. However, there was a strange link between the event and the manifestation of unidentified flying objects. Fortunately , it was possible to secure some visual evidence.

A sequence of photographs taken in Brasilia (Brazil) shows an unidentified flying object near the supermoon on Sunday evening (the 27th). The photos were taken from Engenho das Lajes, Federal District, as from 18:00 hours.

According to civil engineer Viviane Taham, the object was shiny and moved in different directions. “It appeared to the left, elevated itself in a diagonal direction, then descended diagonally, and finally returned as if headed toward the moon before finally disappearing.”

A total of 21 photographs were taken casually by the her daughter, who wanted to capture the full eclipse of the moon on her cellphone. The young woman was inside the vehicle with her father and two other people. Everyone was impressed by what they were seeing.

“My daughter phoned me at the time and said: “I saw a UFO!” and I told her no, that she had seen a light and we didn’t know what it was. “Its movement was odd,” Viviane added.

“I don’t know whether I believe in aliens or not. I had never considered such a possibility. I never saw anything like it,” said the engineer. The Brazilian Air Force was consulted to see whether any official records on the event could be found, but no official reply has been received up to now.

In Campo Grande (Brazil), George Tamaras obtained one of the more impressive pieces of evidence. His video displays the transit of a UFO during the supermoon. It was a ball of white light and it glowed intensely. The likelihood of the object having been an airplane was removed by the UFO’s lack of a definite position.

A witness in Buenos Aires (Argentina) also managed to record the astonishing astronomical event, being able to capture the exact moment at which several unidentified objects appeared on the scene.

“Last night, some objects were seen crossing [the moon] during the eclipse, and many people following the event on the TV claimed seeing a shooting star. It is clear that this was not a meteorite or anything similar. Rather, these were elongated bolides, like cigar-shaped UFOS. At least that’s what my recording shows,” said the witness.

Blood Moon….. You saw me standing alone…

blood_moon3

Picture taken by me.

On September 27th/28th, North America experienced a rare event, a total eclipse of a Super Moon or Blood Moon. A Super Moon is at perigee or at its closest to the Earth rising as a full Moon.  A total eclipse of a Super Full Moon is rare. According to NASA, total eclipses of Super Full Moons have only occurred 5 times in the 1900s; in 1910, 1928,
1946, 1964 and 1962. The next one will occur on October 8th, 2033.

The Blood Moon lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes behind the Earth and the sun casts the Earth’s shadow on it. The Blood Moon is generally associated with the first full moon nearest the Autumn Equinox, which is when the Earth tilts away from the sun.

This particular Blood moon is the fourth over the past two years, or what is called a tetrad series. Some religions believe when this happens, something big is ready to happen which will change the world forever. Maybe visitation by extraterrestrials? That would be cool, but some groups of people think differently.

Blood Moon Ritual:
The Blood Moon is the last of the harvest moons and at a time when the opening between this world and the Otherworld is the most narrowest. It’s also known as the “moon of the changing season” and “failing leaf moon”. The Blood Moon represents the death of one cycle and the birth of the next. Blood is the life force that flows through the physical body, and the Blood Moon ritual gives worshipers the opportunity to give thanks and celebrate the new life force.

In Pagan teaching, the Blood Moon represents abundance, hunting, gathering and preparing for the cold winter months, some refer to it as the “Hunter’s Moon”. This period honors all the Harvest and Hunting Gods and Goddesses. Festivals take place during this time frame to give thanks and appreciation for the bounty and stockpiles of plenty gathered by a clan or tribe.

When there’s a Blood Moon Eclipse, this is very special because of its unique energy. This event is used to honor and celebrate life or the blood flow of life. The energy of the moon can be used to energize fertility, abundance or to communicate with spirits.

While I was watching the eclipse, I couldn’t help but wonder what our Native Americans thought about this unusual eclipse 100’s of years ago. Under normal circumstances a Full Moon during this time frame would remind them it was harvest time, ;but when there was a lunar eclipse, some Native Americans thought the spirits of the dead were trying to eat the Sun or Moon. So during the eclipse there would be singing and dancing to appease the dead spirits, while others in the tribe shouted to try and scare the spirits away. No one would eat any food during this celebration thinking it would also starve the spirits out.

I enjoyed this Blood Moon sitting on my front porch facing East, relaxing while drinking a cup of coffee on a cool Colorado night. With my Nikon D3100 camera nearby mounted on a tripod facing the moon, every few minutes I would hit the shutter button which started a timer. Using the automatic timer and a tripod gives you a better chance of getting a good picture without camera shake causing blurring.

I’m not sure where I’ll be the night of October 8th, 2033, seventeen years from now, hopefully not in an underground bunker waiting for the radiation fallout to dissipate; but back on my front porch enjoying another Blood Moon.

Maybe this time I’ll substitute the coffee for a beer.

The Moon turns ‘Blood Red’ this Weekend – Supermoon a rare Celestial Event!

NEVER before has there been so much hype around an upcoming lunar event.

This weekend’s full Moon is a supermoon, the biggest and brightest full Moon of the year. And it is going to be eclipsed. On Sunday evening, Sept. 27th, the supermoon will pass through the shadow of Earth, turning the lunar disk a coppery shade of red, a so-called Blood Moon.

Sky watchers in the Americas, Europe, Africa, and eastern parts of Asia can see the event.

A Blood Moon is a total lunar eclipse, when its colour goes a dull red or copper colour as it passes into the earth’s shadow, as the Sun’s light is refracted and scattered forward through our atmosphere and onto the Moon’s surface.

This Blood Moon is special because it is the fourth in a series of the rare events with an 18-month period which began last April.

It also coincides, for the first time in 33 years, with a Supermoon, when the full moon will also appear 14% larger and 30% brighter in the sky than normal because it is when the Moon makes its closest approach to Earth and appears largest in the sky.

The scarcity of the event has led some religious groups and online theorists to claim it is a sign from the heavens of impending doom such as an asteroid strike or earthquakes.

But Nasa, and most astronomers, have called for calm assuring nothing like that is about to happen.

Biblical Prophecies say that this rare lunar eclipse is a sign from God before the apocalypse and the second coming of Christ.

Chances are, like many prophecies before this one will come and go without major incident.

There have been just five such events since 1900 (in 1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982), NASA said.

Enjoy this Supermoon Total Eclipse which will not be visible again for 18 years.

There will not be 4 Blood Moons total eclipses together again until 2032-2033.

Russians Shot down UFO Over Iran?

Russians Shot down UFO Over Iran?

By Jon Austin

An explosion reported over the skies of Iran was actually an alien UFO blasted on the orders of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, conspiracists have crazily claimed.

The outlandish allegation has been made among a string of bizarre theories that the world is going to end in late September – either as a result of ferocious earthquakes brought about by a ‘Blood Moon’ event on September 28, or due to a huge asteroid strike anytime from September 23 onwards.

Despite NASA publicly denying that an asteroid could strike Earth any time this century, conspiracy theorists remain undeterred.

The latest off-the-wall suggestion is that an alien invasion will signal the start of the apocalypse later this month, but will be dismissed by officials as a natural disaster. […]

Sky to turn Blood Red across World this Easter – Blood Moons in Biblical Prophecy

Did the Bible predict the next 72 hours?

The sky will turn a deep blood red across the planet this Easter as a rare celestial event ‘foretold in the Bible’ unfolds.

Not often NASA and the Church are on the same page but this freak Blood Moon seems to have done it!

On Saturday evening, just as Passover draws to a close, an eery blood color will engulf the moon. It is the third of four successive total ‘blood-red’ lunar eclipses, each followed by six full moons – an extremely rare ‘Tetrad’.

Experts are predicting that the moon will be fully-obscured for five full minutes and that the rare phenomenon will be visible across North America, Asia and Australia. According to NASA the incredible alignment has only happened a handful of times in the last two thousand years.

The Blood moon phenomenon was predicted in the Bible The King James Bible predicts: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord comes,” (Joel 2:31).

John Hagee, an American pastor, claims the strange timing of the event, between the anniversary of Jesus’s death on Good Friday and His resurrection on Easter Sunday, proves a religiously significant global event is about to unfold.

“There’s a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way, he said to express.co.uk.
