“The 37th Parallel” Book, Released Info on Bigelow First, before the New York Times Did!

Standing next to The 37th Parallel book.

When the book, “The 37th Parallel” was released September of 2016, people who bought it, got first hand information about Robert Bigelow’s, involvement with UFOs. Eight months after the release of the book, his May, 2017 interview with CBS; he confessed to the world his belief in alien visitation to this planet. Then seven months later on December 16th, the New York Times printed the article, “Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: the Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program, in which Robert Bigelow was a part of.

Dec. 16th, 2017, New York Times excerpt: by Helene Cooper, Ralph Blumenthal, and Leslie Kean.

Contracts obtained by The Times show a congressional appropriation of just under $22 million beginning in late 2008 through 2011. The money was used for management of the program, research and assessments of the threat posed by the objects.

The funding went to Mr. Bigelow’s company, Bigelow Aerospace, which hired subcontractors and solicited research for the program.

Under Mr. Bigelow’s direction, the company modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials that Mr. Elizondo and program contractors said had been recovered from unidentified aerial phenomena. Researchers also studied people who said they had experienced physical effects from encounters with the objects and examined them for any physiological changes. In addition, researchers spoke to military service members who had reported sightings of strange aircraft.

But wait, there’s more!

– Bigelow purchased the Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, which is said to be riddled with UFOs, cryptozoological creatures, and hyper-dimensional portals to other realities. It is strictly off limits to the public now.

– Bigelow proposed and succeeded, to fund the efforts of MUFON field investigators to enable them to respond quickly to alleged UFO incidents. The agreement between Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) and MUFON sets up a “Star Team Impact Project” (SIP), with an initial funding period from five months to a year, with the option to renew for a second year.

Note: After the Bigelow/MUFON STAR Team proposal became a reality, rumors start escalating within the MUFON organization that Bigelow’s own personal field investigators were infiltrating some of MUFON STAR investigations, by showing up prior and running their own investigations.

Also, money supposedly allocated from Bigelow to the MUFON STAR department to design rapid-response investigative kits, never materializes. Why? Maybe because Bigelow used the money for his own investigative team?

2010 FAA Press Release:

– “Persons wanting to report UFO/unexplained phenomena activity should contact a UFO/ unexplained phenomena reporting data collection center, such as Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) (voice: 1-877-979-7444 or e-mail: Reporting@baass.org)”

– Bigelow acquires a piece of a Roswell artifact for testing, found by Chuck Zukowski and Debbie Ziegelmeyer. After initial testing, results show unable to identify any mass produced polymer that matches the artifact. BAAS holds on to the artifact for a year, then returns it stating it was nothing.

2017 December, New York Times Article:

– 2007 to 2012, $22 million dollar budget for the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, most of the money went to Bigelow Aerospace. (BAAS)

– Luis Elizondo ran the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program in the Pentagon which the government has now admitted existed. The government is saying the program ended a few years ago, but Elizondo is already on record talking about his replacement and the fact that it’s still going on.

– Under Bigelow’s direction, Bigelow’s company modified buildings in Las Vegas for the storage of metal alloys and other materials.

In my opinion, the Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program is still active today with Bigelow being a big part of it, and this is why. The US Defense Department has a simple way of keeping certain programs on-going just by changing their names. History attests to this when looking at Project Blue Book in the 1950’s. First the project started out as Project Sign in the late 1940’s, then moved into Project Grudge, and eventually changed to Project Blue Book. By changing the name of a program and maybe moving it from one department to another, funding appears to haven been open and closed for each. In the Black Project arena using government funding money, or money acquired under other circumstances, this is a simple way to throw suspicion off-track. One type of funding like this is called, “Secret Funding”. As an example, secret funding was used for the Manhattan Project during World War II. The atomic bomb project  needed over two billion dollars for completion. Congress approved this budget under the direction of the president not knowing what is was for. These are refereed as, “General Appropriation Funding”, for secret projects.

Is it necessary for the Pentagon to fund UFO sightings?  Let’s look at the numbers for valid sightings in 2016 and 2017 to answer this question.

Some UFO Sightings are real!

Michio Kaku, Theoretical Physicist believes, 5% of UFO sightings are real, and are worth investigating. So let’s crunch some numbers.

National UFO Reporting Center

2016 – 5, 619 sighting reports

2017 – 4,655 sighting reports (as of date)

But, how many people actually take the time to report their sighting? We know as investigators, that not everyone who has a sighting actually takes the time to report it. First you have to get to a computer, then find a website to report it, then go through all the questions some sites have to report it. If it’s too much trouble or takes too much time, some people won’t bother reporting their sighting, only those few who are really concerned, will.

Let’s say out of 100 sightings, only 20% of the people will take the time to report it. This number, in my opinion, is a little high, realistically it’s probably less than 15%, but let’s use 20.

2016: 20%(x) = 5619 → 5619/20% → x = 28,096 Actual total sightings

2017: 20%(x) = 4655 → 4655/20% → x = 23,275 Actual total sightings

Now let’s use the Michio Kaku 5% real UFO theory.

2016 → 28,096 sightings  x .05 = 1,404 Real UFO sightings were scientific investigation.

2017 → 23,275 sightings  x .05 = 1,164  Real UFO sightings were scientific investigation.

The previous data was referenced from just one UFO reporting center, what if we add another UFO reporting center like, MUFON. Now you may ask, what if a person reports their sighting to “two” separate reporting websites? Well MUFON periodically checks to see if their reports have been reported on other websites, and based on their checks, it’s less than 1% probability.

MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) Sighting Reports just USA:

2016 → 5365 sightings

2017 → 5446 sightings (as of date)

Use the 20% sighting ratio and include the 5% Michio Kaku theory:

2016 → 5365 sightings/20% = 26,825 x .05 =  1,341 UFO Sightings Real

2017 → 5446 sightings/20% = 27,230 x .05 =  1,361 UFO Sightings Real

Add total number of 2016’s National UFO Reporting Center reports with MUFON’s reports.

NUFORC → 2016 →  1,404
MUFON   → 2016 →  1,341
total   2,745

2016 : 2,745 sightings were actual UFO’ s (+-1%).

Add total number of 2017’s National UFO Reporting Center reports with MUFON’s reports.

NUFORC → 2017 →  1,164
MUFON   → 2017 →  1,361
total   2,525

2017 : 2,525 sightings were actual UFO’ s (+-1%).

Add 2016 with 2017 -> 5,270

Just over 5000 sightings combined from 2016 and 2017 were considered valid UFO sightings and worth being investigated by the scientific community. That’s huge! Now you know why the Pentagon is interested in this. But the big question is? Are they running their own investigations, or merely monitoring what they already know? Only time will tell.

As for the New York Times article released December 16th, 2017 tying Robert Bigelow with a government agency investigating UFOs? If the New York Times had paid a little more attention to their own book review of The 37th Parallel back on November 25th, of 2016, and had someone other than non qualified idiot like Sam Kean review it saying, “The book falls flat as a conspiracy thriller because its revelations are so pathetic”, they would have known about the Bigelow-UFO tie-in, a year earlier!

To the New York Times… You need to re-review the book and you definitely owe me and Ben Mezrich, an apology!

It’s UFO! (not UAP)

On March 24th of 2016 while campaigning for the presidency of the United States, Hillary Clinton was on the Jimmy Kimmel show talking about the UFO phenomenon. She told Jimmy the term isn’t called UFO anymore, but the latest nomenclature is, Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon or UAP. Like Jimmy, I also prefer the term UFO, for Unidentified Flying Object, because it’s more traditional. But on my website, I changed the acronym to, “Unconventional Flying Objects” reflecting the book, “Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis”, written by a respected NASA scientist, Paul Hill (1995).

(Excerpt from Amazon Books)

Paul Hill was a well-respected NASA scientist when, in the early 1950s, he had a UFO sighting. Soon after, he built the first flying platform and was able to duplicate the UFO’s tilt-to-control maneuvers. Official policy, however, prevented him from proclaiming his findings. “I was destined,” says Hill, “to remain as unidentified as the flying objects.”

For the next twenty-five years, Hill acted as an unofficial clearing house at NASA, collecting and analyzing sightings’ reports for physical properties, propulsion possibilities, dynamics, etc. To refute claims that UFOs defy the laws of physics, he had to make “technological sense … of the unconventional object.”

After his retirement from NASA, Hill finally completed his remarkable analysis. In Unconventional Flying Objects, published posthumously, he presents his findings that UFOs “obey, not defy, the laws of physics.” Vindicating his own sighting and thousands of others, he proves that UFO technology is not only explainable, but attainable.

The term UFO or “Unidentified Flying Object” goes back to the early 1950’s in which US aviator Donald Keyhoe had referenced the term in his book. The term, “Flying Saucers” derived from the June 24th, 1947 Kenneth Arnold citing, in which he had seen multiple objects fly past Mount Rainier, Washington State. Arnold described the objects shaped as “flat like a pie pan”, “shaped like a pie plate”, “half-moon shaped, oval in front and convex in the rear”, “something like a pie plate that was cut in half with a sort of convex triangle in the rear, or simply “saucer-like or “, “like a big flat disk”.  From these multiple descriptions, the press compressed the term down to, “Flying Saucers”.

The term UAP was actually derived from a 400 page document titled, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” created from Project Condign, a secret UFO study undertaken by the British Government Defense Intelligence Staff (DIS) between 1997 and 2000. The project was released into the public on May 15th, 2006 after a September 2005 Freedom of Information Act was requested by UFO researchers, Dr David Clarke and Gary Anthony.

NARCAP, or the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the studying UAP’s and aviation safety for the public. Their website was down at the time of the writing of this blog, and their Facebook page hadn’t been updated since November 27th of 2016, so I’m going by memory. One of the things they boasted was, this website was the place where airline pilots could report a UAP sighting. I believe they re-adjusted the Project Condign report name from, “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” to their name, “Unexplained Aerial Phenomenon”.

The general thought was, airline pilots, especially commercial airline pilots, had no place they could officially report a UFO sighting, so NARCAP was one place they could report it. But… in the book, “The 37th Parallel”, written by Ben Mezrich about my personal life pertaining to Ufology, Ben found an actual FAA handbook showing there was a place where airline pilots, especially commercial ones, could report a UFO sighting without dire circumstances.

So who do they report sightings to? A government agency? Maybe the FAA themselves? No… The manual clearly states to report the sightings to BAAS, a division of Bigelow Aerospace Company, a private company.

Excerpt from the book, “The 37th Parallel”.

What would conspiracy theorists and the general public think if they realized that, right in the FAA handbook, there was a section on what a pilot was supposed to do when he encountered a UFO? Even more astonishing, the pilot was ordered to report the sighting, not to a government agency, but to Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies, a sister company to Bigelow Aerospace…

The section describing this is [ 4-4-4, Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) Reports].

For more information on this, see Chapter 22, from the book “The 37th Parallel”, Atria Books/Simon & Schuster, released September 6th, 2016.

Now jump forward to May 28th, 2017, on CBS News 60 Minutes show, Lara Logan interviewed Robert Bigelow founder of Bigelow Aerospace, in which he admits on TV, the UFO phenomenon is real!

(Excerpts from the 60 minutes show, courtesy CBS News)

Lara Logan: Do you believe in aliens?

Robert Bigelow: I’m absolutely convinced. That’s all there is to it.

Lara Logan: Do you also believe that UFOs have come to Earth?

Robert Bigelow: There has been and is an existing presence, an ET presence. And I spent millions and millions and millions — I probably spent more as an individual than anybody else in the United States has ever spent on this subject.

Lara Logan: Is it risky for you to say in public that you believe in UFOs and aliens?

Robert Bigelow: I don’t give a damn. I don’t care.

Lara Logan: You don’t worry that some people will say, “Did you hear that guy, he sounds like he’s crazy”?

Robert Bigelow: I don’t care.

Also in the 60 Minutes news show, this is stated:

The FAA confirmed to us that for years, it referred reports of UFOs and other unexplained phenomena to a company Bigelow owns. He told us he’s had his own close encounters, but declined to go into detail.

So there you have it, not only can pilots report unusual sightings through official FAA guidelines, but the guidelines still referred the objects as, “UFOs”, not “UAPs”!  Not only that, but Ben Mezrich’s book, “The 37th Parallel” released information about the FAA reporting guidelines pertaining to UFO sightings, 6 months before the CBS News 60 Minutes TV show went public with it. I wonder if they had read the book?

So let’s drop the UAP term and use the term the FAA and Bigelow Aerospace still use today, UFO; Because any other term would be… just wrong.

Secret Truth Behind America’s ‘UFO Highway’ | VIDEO

Secret Truth Behind America's 'UFO Highway'

Flying saucers and visits from extraterrestrials have long been a source of fascination in American culture. There are many who believe aliens and their ability to visit Earth are a fact, and some are willing to

go to great lengths to prove it. That’s the subject of author Ben Mezrich’s new book, “The 37th Parallel,” which tells the story of one man’s 30-year quest to prove aliens are real. Mezrich joins “CBS This Morning: Saturday” to discuss the book and the so-called “UFO Highway.” …

The 37th Parallel

Standing next to The 37th Parallel book.

On September 15th, 2011, I printed a web site Press Release on my 37 Degree Latitude Theory, because I started to see a pattern of mutilation cases and UFO sightings not only here in Colorado, but in other states as well. I focused on the 37 Degree Latitude, because of its associations with some pretty interesting places and past events occurring along that stretch.

My “37th Degree Theory” encompasses obviously the 37 Degree Latitude, but also dips into the 36 and 38 as well. Consider the 37 latitude to be a center line of a two lane highway with part of 38 and part of 36 being the left and right lanes. Naming it the 37th was just for simplicity rather than saying, “The 37th with some 36 and some 38 too!”

Now I’m not saying that all animal mutilations or UFO encounters only happen on the 37th which would be ridiculous, because we know these events happen everywhere. For example, I’m currently working on a mutilation case that’s sitting near latitude 42, so what I’m saying is; “The 37 latitude or 37th Parallel, is the most important latitude for sightings”, and this is why.

The 37th Parallel or Paranormal Highway name was coined by Science Channel’s, “Unexplained Files season 2”, “Paranormal Highway of America” episode. This was a one hour episode in which the Science Channel gave me an opportunity to test my theory backing it up with data. This “Highway 37” is what I consider one of many traveled UFO-related highways in the US. Just like the current Interstate 40 or 70, or the past Highway 66 or the Transcontinental Lincoln Highway Interstate 80, we too have many routes that we take travelling across this great country; but some routes are more travelled than others. This too is what I see while investigating UFO’s.

There is a current theory, a pretty damn good one that states: “There is an underground tunnel stretching from at least Taos, New Mexico, past Dulce New Mexico, all the way to Area51, in Nevada!” Researchers like, John Lear son of Lear Jet inventor released the Dulce Papers, and John Rhodes, Dulce Base researcher, both confirm this. Other research claims this underground tunnel possibly travels East as well, all the way to Virginia! This all sits on the 37th Parallel!

Now you may say, “What are you smokin’ in Colorado?” Well you know what Coloradans are smoking, and yes it’s legal here, but that’s not what vapors this theory.

What my trigger point or light-bulb moment was; In 2011 while seeing a pattern between my UFO and mutilations cases here in Colorado and comparing them to similar cases in Missouri, Colorado had an earthquake, a very shallow earthquake.

On 08/22/2011, I saw that an earthquake occurred at the Sangre de Cristo Fault, and the coordinates were 37.0412, -104.4726782.

Then within 15 hours another very shallow earthquake occurred, but not in Colorado, but 1600 miles away!

The Virginia earthquake on 08/23/2011, occurred at the Central Virginia Seismic Zone, it’s coordinates were 37.557787, -77.554492.

Two separate faults perpendicular to each other causing two separate shallow earthquakes 1600 miles away from each other. Why?

Colorado earthquake depth, 2.5 miles.

Virginia earthquake depth, 3.7 miles.

Earthquakes occurring at a depth of less than 70 kilometers (43 miles) are classified as “shallow-focus” earthquakes. Both Colorado and Virginia earthquakes were extremely shallow occurring less than 6 kilometers (3.7 miles). Could these two earthquakes which occurred within 15 hours of each other at such a shallow depth be related to each other in a way we’re not aware of? Fracking? Or underground drilling to create underground tunnels? I started looking at what sits on “The 37th Parallel”.

(some examples)

San Jose; California.

Mono Lake, UFO sightings; California.

Area 51; Nevada.

US Naval Undersea Warfare base; Hawthorne, Nevada.

Taos, Home of the “Taos Hum”; New Mexico.

Dulce’ Underground possible human/alien base; New Mexico.

1948 UFO crash; Aztec, New Mexico.

Alamosa, San Luis Valley/Blanca Peak, UFO sightings/base; Colorado.

Trinidad/Westin/San Luis/ cattle mutilations; Colorado.

1897 Leroy, Coffey County cattle mutilation; Kansas.

1896 Howell County, cattle mutilation; Missouri.

1973 Piedmont, UFO case, over 500 sightings; Missouri.

1941 Cape Girardeau UFO crash and retrieval; Missouri.

Joplin Spook Lights; Missouri.

2000 Highland Black Triangle sighting; Illinois.

Fort Knox; Kentucky.

1948 Mantell UFO Encounter; Owensboro, Kentucky.

Late 1980’s Wytheville, Mass UFO Sightings; Virginia.

Greenbrier massive underground bunker for Congress; Virginia.

I then started looking at Native American Spiritual sites, caverns, aquifers, current UFO sightings, and wondered;

“Is there a Transcontinental Underground Highway across the United States, residing on the 37th Parallel?”

Map of The 37th Parallel

Maybe portions of this Transcontinental Highway existed before the Europeans migrated to North American, because the Native Americans speak of Star Travelers, and some spiritual sites like Chaco Canyon and Cahokia Mounds, just dip into this theory. This underground highway would have entrances and exists just like our existing auto highways, which would increase stealth capability when venturing outside the highway. Think of Interstate 40 being completely enclosed with cars just popping out from time to time to visit cities. sounds familiar when investigating UFO’s. A lot of sightings appear to be travelling east to west and visa-versa. Connection to a highway travelling the same route?

Could this previous highway be a current Black Project work-in-progress completion? And is it being shared by foreigners? Foreigners not of this planet?

Well I wrote about this theory, talked about it on TV, and now Ben Mezrich’s book, “The 37th Parallel” explains the steps involved throughout my life which gave me the experience, that drove me to this analysis.

All the information I post on my website, and all the information and experiences written in Ben Mezrich’s book is true. It all happened, some names are changed on my blogs to protect the witnesses, but no names were changed for the book. The book tells it like it is.

When reading “The 37th Parallel” book, keep an open mind, and please don’t shoot the messenger, Ben Mezrich, he’s just writing about my true life events while being a New York Times Best Selling Author. Remember, life is much bigger than most perceive, and only a fool thinks we’re the only intelligent living beings in the Milky Way Galaxy.

UFO related stories have been around throughout Earth’s history, at least 74% of people polled believe intelligent life exists outside this planet, and in 2011, 80 million Americans, or 36% of the population believe UFOs are real! Go get the book… I don’t profit from it or my blogs, it’s just personal satisfaction knowing I can share these events with you, and you can decide for yourself.

“NBC KOAA News” Local UFO investigator inspiration for new book and movie.

By Andy Koen

The life of a UFO investigator from Southern Colorado will be the subject of a new Hollywood thriller. The book and movie deal will feature former El Paso County Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy Chuck Zukowski. He’s researched dozens of animal mutilation cases, many of them right here in Colorado, and posted his findings in his blog ufonut.com.

“Since 1967 we’ve had over 10,000 cases across the US and out of all the cases that were investigated by law enforcement, no one’s ever been caught,” Zukowski said.

Several of the animals he encounters don’t appear to have died naturally. There are incisions in the bodies that appear cleanly cut rather than the rips and tears expected from wildlife attacks. Some carcasses are devoid of blood and most cases lack the presence of scuff marks on the ground suggesting a fight or tire tracks and footprints suggesting human activity.

In 2011, Zukowski plotted out the locations of known animal mutilations on a map and compared his data with UFO sightings and saw a trend emerge.

“I started seeing this pattern across the US that there’s these events, paranormal events, happening and so it’s almost as if there’s a paranormal highway,” Zukowski said.

Large clusters of the cases appear to run along the 37th degree north latitude. It was a stunning enough find that Zukowski was featured in an episode of the Science Channel’s Unexplained Files last summer. Now, even bigger things are in store.

“There have been thousands, thousands of cattle mutilations that have never been explained, nobody’s ever been arrested for, that nobody knows why or how this is going on and Chuck is the expert on this,” said best selling author Ben Mezrich.

His previous work includes titles such as Bringing Down the House about MIT students who beat the Vegas casinos and Accidental Billionaires, the literary counterpart to the movie Social Media.

“I’m always intrigued by that, really smart people who do something really unusual or who break ground or go into that gray area,” he said.

There’s more to the story than just a map of animal mutilations. In fact, Ben and Chuck hinted at a conspiracy involving a multi-billion dollar corporation, but they couldn’t elaborate further.

“I don’t want to go into it too much here yet because it might make it more difficult to write the book, but there’s definitely some over-arching conspiracy that needs to be explained,” Mezrich said.

As for Chuck, he’s a bit surprised by the all the attention.

“I stay up late at night thinking about that, you know I’m always thinking, God what have I really done that’s that exciting.”

The book is expected to be released sometime next year. Mezrich is working with Flynn Picture Company, the producers of San Andreas, for the film adaptation.

New Line Studios Picks Up Author “Ben Mezrich’s” Sci-Fi Book Proposal on Chuck Zukowski’s ’37th Parallel’ (Exclusive)

The Hollywood Reporter; April 10th,2015

Beau Flynn, who discovered the true-life figure behind the book, will produce via his New Line-based banner.

New Line has pre-emptively picked up The 37th Parallel, a book proposal by one of Hollywood’s favorite authors, Ben Mezrich, for a feature adaptation to be produced by Beau Flynn and his FlynnPictureCo. The project is based on the true story of Chuck Zukowski, an extraterrestrial investigator. In a true-life crossing of elements from X-Files and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the story focuses on Zukowski’s incredible findings of alien sightings, cattle mutilations, Native American holy sites and secret government activity located on the 37th degree of latitude. Coupled with that is conspiracy involving a multibillion dollar corporation. The project’s roots sprouted from Flynn, who found Zukowski. He pitched the idea to Mezrich, who sparked to it, and at the same time acquired Zukowski’s life rights. The life rights have now been transferred to New Line. Brett Ratner and his RatPac Entertainment, which publish many of Mezrich’s books, will come on to produce in some capacity. Wendy Jacobson is overseeing for FlynnPictureCo. The deal marks the second one this week for Mezrich, coming on the heels of Warner Bros. optioning his upcoming book, Once Upon a Time in Russia: The Rise of the Oligarchs — A True Story of Ambition, Wealth, Betrayal, and Murder. Mezrich’s books have inspired adaptations 21 and, more famously, The Social Network. And the project reunites FlynnPictureCo. with Mezrich and RatPac. The trio already have Seven Wonders, an adventure project based around the Seven Wonders of the World, set up at Fox. FlynnPictureCo.’s next movie is the Dwayne Johnson disaster movie San Andreas, which opens May 29.
CAA brokered the deal on behalf of Mezrich.
