UFO Spotted Low Over Alaskan Harbor

UFO Spotted Low Over Alaskan Harbor 1-16-16

By Roger Marsh

An Alaskan witness at Old Harbor reported watching a UFO gliding and hovering around the boat harbor area beginning about 8:15 p.m. on January 14, 2016, according to testimony in Case 74166 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The reporting witness and her daughter both made statements on what they saw. The reporting witness was driving to the local gym to pick up her daughter and two friends at 8:15 p.m.

“As I rounded the corner by the culvert I thought I saw a shooting star off to my right, towards the hillside,” the witness stated. “As I got to the store/boat harbor area, I realized it was three blinking lights close together. I thought maybe it was a remote control airplane or a drone because it was really dark out, too late for planes to fly and too close to the hillside.”

The witness stated that the object was flying pretty fast and she lost sight of it and continued driving.

“When I arrived at the school I could see the three girls swinging on the swing set waiting for me. My daughter came running at me full speed waiving her arms. She was all excited saying, ‘Did you see that mom? It was a big drone or something right above us. It hoovered right above us.’”

The witness searched the sky above the school and caught sight of the blinking lights with three colors.

“The object traveled fast, south, toward the church, and then took a sharp left out toward the bay. It headed straight to the airstrip fast. I thought it was going to land. My daughter wanted me to follow it. I turned by the post office and headed for home.” […]

‘Ball Of Light’ UFO Hovers Over Alaskan Town

By Roger Marsh

An Alaskan witness at Eagle River reported watching a “ball of light” UFO that appeared to move intelligently with hovering and course correction movements, according to testimony in Case 60040 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was walking home from a friend’s home at 1:15 a.m. on September 21, 2014, when the object was first seen.

“It was a dark sky with light cloud coverage and a ball of light was apparent,” the witness stated. “It did not have the shape of the Northern Lights. I thought the object was a meteor but it never picked up speed.”

The witness decided to take pictures of the object. Five images were submitted with the MUFON report, which was filed on September 24, 2014: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, Image 4 and Image 5.

The witness described the object’s distance and size.

“The object was a little difficult to estimate due to the distance but I believe it was possibly the size of a car tire. It came toward my direction slowly, appeared to hover, and then adjusted course and left gracefully within 10 seconds. I was worried because I wasn’t sure what it was and it was coming within my vicinity. I watched the object leave.” . . .

U.S., Canadian Jets Intercept 8 Russian Aircraft

By www.newsherald.com

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Two F-22 fighter jets intercepted six Russian military airplanes that neared the western coast of Alaska, military officials said Friday.

Lt. Col. Michael Jazdyk, a spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, said the U.S. jets intercepted the planes about 55 nautical miles from the Alaskan coast at about 7 p.m. Pacific time Wednesday (9 p.m. CDT).

The Russian planes were identified as two IL-78 refueling tankers, two Mig-31 fighter jets and two Bear long-range bombers. They looped south and returned to their base in Russia after the U.S. jets were scrambled.

At about 1:30 a.m. Thursday, two Canadian CF-18 fighter jets intercepted two of the long-range bombers about 40 nautical miles off the Canadian coastline in the Beaufort Sea.

In both cases, the Russian planes entered the Air Defense Identification Zone, which extends about 200 miles from the coastline. They did not enter sovereign airspace of the United States or Canada. . . .
